Why does my system sell so much energy from my battery when I have to buy energy later?

This can happen because IntelliCharge is optimizing your overall energy economy, not necessarily minimizing every single purchase of electricity.

If the selling price is high, IntelliCharge may discharge the battery to the grid, even if it expects you to buy energy later. Check the selling price during selling energy and compare it with the purchase price when buying energy. If the selling price was higher than your purchase price, the system is operating as intended and maximizing your financial benefit.

If you prefer to keep more energy in your battery instead, you can adjust the settings:

Option 1: Set a minimum battery level after selling

1. Go to Plant settings
2. Find Charging rules
3. Enable Custom charging rules
4. Add a Min battery SOC after sell % value
5. Save the changes

Option 2: Disable selling energy from the battery

1. Go to Plant settings
2. Find Allowed battery modes
3. Disable Discharge To Grid
4. Save the changes

Please note that changes to these settings can take up to 2 hours to take effect.
