Why is my system not selling energy when prices are high?

There are three possible reasons: either IntelliCharge is not allowed to sell, or it decided that selling was not the best option, or it tried to sell but your system did not respond as expected.

Check the following:

1. Verify that selling is allowed

Go to Plant settings → Allowed battery modes and check that:

  • Discharge To Grid is enabled.
  • Export of surplus solar energy is set to Smart or Always allowed.

If these settings are disabled, IntelliCharge is not permitted to sell energy.

2. Check your minimum battery after sale limit

Go to Plant settings → Charging rules and check whether Min battery SOC after sell % is set too high. If so, IntelliCharge may need to keep more energy in the battery instead of selling it.

(By default this field is empty. Then the system is free to optimise fully without any custom limit while following the hardware technical specifications.)

3. Check the energy price graph

Review the price graph on the home screen. Was the selling price actually the highest at the time you expected the system to sell? IntelliCharge aims to sell at the most profitable time, which may be later in the day—or even the following morning if tomorrow's prices are higher.

4. Check the AI plan

If the AI plan shows a Discharge to grid action but no energy was sold, IntelliCharge sent the command but the local system did not execute it. This can happen due to factors such as an unstable internet connection or outdated inverter firmware.
